~ San Francisco 2014 ~

I just want to let everyone know that I will be changing my blog url to manatales.blogspot.com very soon!
Over the Canada Day long weekend a close friend and I decided to jump onto a plane and flew down to San Francisco! (actually we jumped onto a bus first to get to said plane) It was a tough battle choosing between Montreal, which was our initial choice and San Francisco but the latter came out on top.

We stayed at the Prescott Hotel and quite enjoyed it. The hotel was clean and quiet so that we always got a decent nights sleep.

The “hardest” thing to do each day was to think of what to eat, so on the first day we ended up at the Cheesecake Factory in Macy’s. This is the view off their outdoor patio, the restaurant was packed!

Since we believe ourselves to be young, healthy individuals we decided to walk down to Fisherman’s Wharf  from our hotel area. Everyone we asked said it would take a while, like 45mins…..which we didn’t think was too long at all, especially since we would be able to walk through their iconic Chinatown and Little Italy neighborhood.

I never imagined a Chinatown could be so busy or full of tourists. The architecture was also interesting.

After getting confused at some interesting 4 way intersections we finally made it!

Sadly we didn’t make it to Alcatraz on this trip as all the tours were already booked up so here’s a far away shot of it……or at least I hope that’s Alcatraz…

Neither of us had any of this food pictured above as my friend had gotten sick prior to the trip and had a weak stomach and I was scared of getting hives (which I got once from a seafood salad). So we just looked from afar and snapped some photos.

I bought one of these mini cable cars as a souvenir for my parents….and yes I consumed most of the chocolate inside.

I’ve divided up the rest of my trip based on activities instead of the amount of days I spent there or else there would be an overwhelming amount of photos (which is what I used to do). One thing my friend and I weren’t too prepared for was the amount of wind there was! While it was sunny, blue skies, not a cloud to be seen, it was windy as heck!!! I didn’t wear any of the summer dresses I brought, in fact the only dress I wore was my maxi one.
